How to paint a fox in 6 steps
I'm still flooded by freelance work for some time, but I still managed to put together this little tutorial on my sparetime. Painted this foxy a few months ago, and luckily I saved the steps for this one too!

Du är så himla grym på ljussättning. Syns redan i den första, grova "skissen" av ljuset. Jag blir så avis, ahhh!
ReplyDeleteNaw tack :D Fortfarande inte helt 100, men försöker träna på det hela tiden. Hade jättemkt problem med ljus och skuggor för bara ett år sen, så allt går med övning! Var inte avis :)

Nice tutorial and really clear step if possible I would like to know more about what does the "tweaking the light" means ?

DeleteTweaking the light = adding a mask and start softening/sharpening the edges. Until this point, the light layer has only been roughly blocked out, and I only refine it later on.

DeleteI somehow recognize what you mean. When I started out I was a bit intimidated by all the awesome artists out there, and I always thought that they would be too busy to share or reply to you, if you sent them a message. Now that I've met so many likeminded artists out there, you realize how humble and caring everyone is :)
