Cover Art for HarperCollins: "Always October"

Finally, I'm allowed to share some artwork for a book cover that I made last year. It's for the novel "Always October", written by Bruce Coville and published by HarperCollins.

It's the first cover I've made for them so far, it's been a true pleasure and I had a lot of fun working on this piece.
As far as I know, the novel will be available in August, and I'm really looking forward to see it printed.
I'll definitely keep you updated about this later this summer/fall! :)

New fox sketch & Time Lapse Video

Hey guys!
I just uploaded a new HD video of a quick sketch that I made.

Nothing fancy, just a 12 minute time-lapse of this little fox-sketch :) Painted in Photoshop CS5 using a cintiq 12WX. Overall, this sketch took me about 20 minutes.

Time lapse of "Playful Dreaming"

Just managed to publish my first time lapse of one of my painting "Playful Dreaming".

Only the painting progress, no sound this time. I managed to save about 90% of the coloring process, my recording software crashed for some reason at the very end. It looks pretty much as the finished version though, only a bit tighter and crispier :)

Photoshop CS5 + cintiq 12WX

Always a bit scary to post WIPS but oh well. Here's another one again. So many ideas, so little time and skill... I'll just soldier on I guess, at least I'm having tons of fun at the moment!
I also just reminded myself of one of my weaknesses. Drawing guys and picking a suiting clothing style for them. I'm gonna start sketching more people while travelling again. Especially guys. And their styles.

Learned a ton, got some feedback on it so I'll just move on and try to apply what I've learned on a new one :) Moving forward.

Photoshop CS5 & Cintiq 12WX

Just another WIP.
Made the sketch in photoshop with my beloved cintiq 12WX.
There's a colorscheme test attached as well, think that's the mood and lighting I'll aim for in this one. We'll see how it goes :)

I'm gonna let this one rest for now though, and carry on with the appletree piece instead. I wanna finish iiiit!

Playful Dreaming

Finally.
It's been so long since last time I completed something in color. Feels so good...

And what better way could there be than starting this year off with some horses? I secretly wish that the girl on the black one was me. You guys have no idea how much I miss horsebackriding nowadays. Been so long since last time I had the chance to ride. Being in a stable is like meditation for me.

So yeah. From me to you.
